Just like transfer students' stats aren't reported for Berkley Michigan. It's a transfer program which makes perfect sense for Northeastern's coop program I can bet that the Northeastern Spring admitted students have much higher stats than the Berkley Michigan transfer students. |
Check out the Northeastern Result forums including ones here. |
Any proof beyond anecdotes? |
It makes very logical sense. They got close to 100K applications. They accept some ED1, some ED2, some EA, some RD, and some in the guaranteed transfer(NUIn/Bound). Their stats don't vary too much at all. Some of the guaranteed transfer kids via RD have relatively higher stats than the ED applicants. Obviously ED kids get significant advantage so they get by with lower stats. Compare this to the quality of the transfer applicants without stats to Berkeley/Michigan. You can easily imagine. If you have a claim contrary to the logical sense, show me a proof. |
I heard UCs are no longer requiring tests. |
tons of kids don't seem to have a problem with it, but if you do, then yea, might want to stay away. |

A weakness of the book "Colleges Worth Your Money" is that it fails to rate the Honors Colleges found at large state universities.
Massive Arizona State University (ASU) is an example. ASU offers more than 350majors and serves about 63,000 students. ASU received a 3 star academic rating. The Honors College at ASU enrolls 7,400 undergrads and has more National Merit Scholars enrolled (1,100) than any of Duke, Stanford, or MIT, according to the book. Many classes and facilities are for honors college students only. Another weakness of the 433 page book is the small print. Not enjoyable to read. |
Yes they go test blind starting this year I believe. The test number are from the current USN&WR. I believe it's 2021 result. |
Not just not requiring. They are test blind and will not look at them. |
Sorry if I struck a nerve. I find your comment that "tons of kids don't seem to have a problem with" the inability to understand professors with heavy foreign accents in STEM subjects to be unbelievable. It is a common complaint often voiced in a passionate manner. |
That's not proof of anything. |
| Northeastern in Boston is massively overrated. And their boosters/grads are the most delusional and obnoxious of any I’ve encountered. |
It is proved to be underrated with data. |
Do you have a proof that stats for the transfer students to Berkeley/Michigan are higher than transfer students to Northeastern?? Logical sense tells me it's exactly the opposite, but go with the official records by the rules - SAT middle 50 Berkeley: 1290-1530 Michigan: 1360-1530 Northeastern: 1430-1550 |
