Wilson is 50% over enrolled.

Lots of good kids too, but the tension between the ones itching to beef and throwing down was palpable. At one point the street cleared as a group ran around the corner in a way that literally seemed like an old time Western where the townfolk go inside and draw the curtains . Needless to say we hustled along too There should be some kind of school or policies or parental presence out there (or all three) at dismissal. It's a disaster.

I’m a Wilson parent who would like a clearer idea of what you witnessed. How did you know or infer there were throngs of kids looking for fights? What did the kids who ran around the corner do? Please post if you saw any of this. Was there a fight? Weapons? We’re there police present?

The description above is clear. No police, and very "high noon" atmosphere. Like every spring at let out time. If I were a parent I'd go stand there around 330/4 and check it out myself. Do you ever?

NP here. As it happens, I’m there nearly every day at the time you mentioned. Sometimes I’m in the car, sometimes I get out of the car. Kids are definitely noisy, definitely high energy. Sometimes there’s a tussle, but it seems like it’s just boys kidding around, not really violent. Very often, there’s a police presence.

Today, I came later, for reasons I don’t need to get into. So I don’t know if today anything special happened.

NP, but it’s not clear at all to me. Seems like you have a vivid imagination.

Don’t engage with this insane troll. I’m at Wilson at pickup every day, and I can assure you that 100% of Wilson kids would laugh at this dark fantasy nonsense.

I was at Wilson pickup yesterday, and the Firebenders attached the Airbenders and then pikachu came in and loved everybody up. It was horrible.

Thanks for the reality check, as DC is going to Wilson in the Fall. Although I must admit my slight disappointment at not doing some back to school shopping for cowboy boots with spurs, a 10 gallon hat, and a full-length duster coat.

El West in Mount Pleasant has everything your cowboy or cowgirl needs.

NP. They’re high school kids. I think you are viewing them through beef lens.

Chick Fil E actually did look like an old timey saloon, busting at the seams. All it needed was a pianist and cranky bar keep.

I remember being a teen and people always assume you’re up to no good. Sad to see adults haven’t changed.

Haven't we spent a decade changing law to reflect how impulsive developing young adult brains are? Or is that all hooey? Yeah, I agree that most of the kids are minding their own business and having fun, but for some young people "fun" doesn't always equal good behavior. Two massively over enrolled schools empty into the same space everyday and other young people come by to hang out as well. To not pay attention to that time and space does a disservice to the good tweens + teens. It's like leaving the door to the Peach Pit unlocked and stepping out.

Your cultural reference dated you to precisely what I would have expected. "Get off my lawn" you kids! I'm trying to watch so I know whether Kelly chooses Dylan.
