Do you really think your dogs are children?

Totally part of the family. "My little buddy" "this man's best friend" etc.
But he's not my kids... Lets face it...if things work out the way they should I'll be burying him in 7-13 years (its a golden, my short-haired 3/4 size mini-golden, I say) and I should have another in the family by then. But we do have a special bond. You've heard of "a boy and his dog"...well, "a grown-ass man and his dog" is an even bigger thing. I'm in my 40s and he's filled a space in my life.
