What do you think collective bargaining is? The teachers had a say in concurrent. They said no, and MCPS went along with it. |
The union said no. Mcps said no. Parents said no. So, you homeschool. Or pay privately. Too bad. |
Yeah because reopening without options has gone so well….. we had over a year to reshape education and you all wanted status quo and it’s a legitimate disaster, so congratulations. |
My kids did not return in person. Yes, there are many things we could have done but parents wanted full return, no restrictions and they got it. So, stop complaining just like you told us over the summer. We figured it out. Now your turn. |
It HAS gone really well. Most kids have had a half-year of in-person education with no disruptions. Mine have. I'm not sure you know what the word disaster means (actually, I know you don't). |

Just because there are multiple positives at one school doesn't mean it's caused by in-school transmission. Most people get COVID from loved ones, in their homes. Someone brings it home and infects everyone else.
I'm not saying there is no in-school transmission, but so far we don't know. |
It's true but mine also were fine with DL and thrived. I think it's mostly about whether parents stay involved in their children's lives. A few parents seem to think it's the county's responsibility to raise their kids. |

In the cases we’ve known about in elementary and preschool, there’s been no in school transmission. A kid in my son’s preschool class came to school positive and no one else caught it. |
In mcps there are multiple schools with outbreaks. |
They are bringing Covid into the schools. There is no distancing. There are sepveral outbreaks. Of course there is some in school transmission. |
The uninvolved parent. Mine are fine in DL. |
It hasn’t gone so well for the kids and staff who got Covid. |
|
Mine are fine in in-person. I guess we both win. |
