Hello
My kid get 119 in FSIQ 126 in GAI is it a good idea to include it in our appeal!? Or forget it ! There is other criterias in the test which he got extremely high scores |
Which one? How high? |
Neither of these are very high. |
There is 6 criteria in the test
4of them high avg 1 of them extremely high 1 avg |
Yes, include it and point out the GAI and subscores. It won't hurt and may help. |
If itβs low as I see from your comments we will appeal with just work samples ! π₯Ήπ |
Unless the WISC GAI is higher than the CogAT composite was, the WISC is not going to help you. |
I wouldnt include it. This is not a bad score but it is not a great score either. |
Cogat is way better than the wisc !

Then do not include it |
Not to be negative, I just don't know how anyone could get a WISC in time for an appeal. The wait lists are LONG. Did they provide this information prior to finding out AAP results? |
GMU prioritizes kids who are appealing, per their own website. People get a WISC in time every year. |
I would not include a WISC score that is less then the original CoGAT score. I would not include a WISC score that was under 135. |
Also, simply having a GAI in the first place implies some sort of issue. What did they find, OP? |
That's because you are not a psychologist and do not understand the scoring for the WISC test. |
