Appeal with WISC

Hello
My kid get 119 in FSIQ 126 in GAI
is it a good idea to include it in our appeal!? Or forget it !

There is other criterias in the test which he got extremely high scores

Yes, include it and point out the GAI and subscores. It won't hurt and may help.

Unless the WISC GAI is higher than the CogAT composite was, the WISC is not going to help you.

I wouldnt include it. This is not a bad score but it is not a great score either.

Not to be negative, I just don't know how anyone could get a WISC in time for an appeal. The wait lists are LONG. Did they provide this information prior to finding out AAP results?

GMU prioritizes kids who are appealing, per their own website. People get a WISC in time every year.

I would not include a WISC score that is less then the original CoGAT score. I would not include a WISC score that was under 135.

That's because you are not a psychologist and do not understand the scoring for the WISC test.
