| I have an odd aversion to lotions or oils of any kind. I have always had skin that looked and felt well hydrated. As I’m getting older, I am starting to need something. I can’t handle smells at all. Is there any kind of body oil or lotion that does not feel slimy and sinks right into your skin quickly? |
| Been there, know exactly what you mean. As I've gotten older I had to just get over my aversion to lotions. I found some that don't feel slimy, I put them on right after a shower while the skin is still moist. It helps some but not a whole lot. Ageing is inevitable. |
| Skinfood by Weleda. I get it at Whole Foods, but its also on Amazon, other sites. |
| This is really light: https://villafloriani.com/products/olive-oil-satin-body-spray |
| Jergens ultra healing. I get it at target. |
This has an extremely strong smell. |
| Vanicream facial moisturizer. I have the same issue, OP, and it’s the best I’ve ever tried. |
| I recently bought a large tub of vanicream and was just thinking I didn't like it but it might be just what you're looking for. It doesn't have any scent and soaks right in so you don't feel like you have anything on your skin. CeraVe leaves me feeling a little more moisturized and I prefer it for that reason. |
| Cetaphil moisturizing cream. |
| Try squalane oil. It’s light and absorbs very quickly. The one I use, by Timeless, is unscented. |

I prefer moisturizing oils to lotions, as I find that the right one will be less greasy and absorb better.
My favorite body oil is Neutrogena Sesame Body Oil. It does have a scent but it's extreme light and not noticeable. I have tried a LOT of body oils, including much pricier ones, but I keep coming back to this one because it absorbs right into my skin after a shower and makes it feel soft and hydrated but NOT slick or greasy at all. Target also makes a dupe for it that is decent but not quite as good (but costs half as much). Sometimes I can't find the Neutrogena and that's my [distant] second place option. For face, I cycle through things but right now love the face oils from Herbivore Botanicals. I have several, the Phoenix is the most moisturizing. I apply them in the evening. If my skin feels very dry I will add either a night cream or an overnight moisturizing mask on top of it, but this time of year usually the oil is enough -- I wake up with dewy, soft skin. I also use a cetaphil daily moisturizer as it's light and soaks in easily, but that mostly for SPF purposes (if I'm going to be out in full sun without a hat, I'll do a high SPF stick but it makes my skin feel greasy so most days I just do the cetaphil). |

I am the same way. The lotions designed to be put on wet work well for me. I rinse off in the shower, put it on, shampoo, and then rinse off. Enough sinks in to work and I don’t end up feeling lotioned.
I like one by cerave. |
Agree! This is not a safe buy for OP. |
| Aveeno it's fragrance free. |
