I heard WISC is good for appeals. I might go to a private office. Unsure about GMU.

Appealing with a WISC. Although the weakness was DS verbal iReady and his HOPE. Cogat is a 140 and he was in pool. Not sure Wisc will do anything.

the WISC is like an IQ test and a licensed psychologist has to give out the test. You can use GMU as stated on the AAP website if you want to go that route. Or you can find a private psychologist. It can be covered through insurance but the wait times are long- about 6months or so and then an additional 2 months to get results.

DS had this EXACT issue which is a shame because he really needs AAP.
