Most annoying unbelievable characters

Who are the movie or tv characters that don't fit the role they're supposed to have in their story? So not the issue with actor being miscast, but you don't perceive the character as they're presented in the show context.

First example that come to mind is Beth from Yellowstone. It ruins the show for me how she has the upper hand and intimidates everyone, whereas the suitable response to her antics should be: 'STFU and go sit in the corner.'

Kelly from Beverly Hills as the school hot chick is also unbelievable, but maybe the memory is starting to fade regarding what was considered hot in the 90s.

It isn’t the same as an unbelievable character, but in the same vein I can’t watch courtroom scenes without saying “You can’t do that” out loud.

Lorelai Gilmore.

My husband is a doctor and can't watch medical shows. He gets so annoyed.

I yell at the tv when hospital rooms or hospitals in general are all dark and moody

I think Jennie Garth was perfect in that role. She was the ideal California girl. I found it more unbelievable that Dylan would ever go for Brenda. Not that she was unattractive, just wasn't anything special with no personality other than insecure and whiny.

The autistic lead on the kdrama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, it’s very unlikely she’d be able to get through the typical Korean education system and get a job at a good law firm based on her social skills. Still a fun show.

Moe. He was always in charge, but Larry seemed much smarter.

NP, I agree with PP, not convinced with Kelly. Jennie Garth looked like the hot chick for a high school in some rural cornfield town in Indiana. She did not look sophisticated enough to be from Beverly Hills. I find Brenda way more believable.

They were both believable! That's why the show was popular.

I remember watching the show as a child and buying Brenda and Kellly.

But absolutely not Gabrielle Cateris as Andrea Zuckerman? No way. She looked like the teachers not a high schooler.

Boston Legal is the best lawyer show. Shoot your clients when they're annoying!

Florence Pugh in Oppenheimer. It's not that she was miscast, but more that her character didn't add anything to the movie. I rolled my eyes every scene she was in. Nolan should've cut that character out entirely.

As for TV, I can think of many examples from The Expanse. I liked the show overall, especially the earlier seasons. But there are some characters whose arcs never get fully developed, and their storylines feel haphazardly thrown together. Dr. Reverend Anna (Elizabeth Mitchell), Chrisjen's competitor Nancy Gao, Clarissa Mao, that random crime lord from Baltimore that is part of Amos's past... I'm sure there are others.

The most unbelievable part of Lorelai and Rory was how much junk food they ate all the time and managed to stay stick thin.
