Justin is a much less known figure and typically works behind the scenes. He did not want to even play Ryle, Colleen Hoover had to convince him, and it may have even been a condition of him being able to direct and produce the film.

He’s co-owner of Wayfarer, which is very busy making movies as others have said.

Blake has always had a very public persona and she’s trying to sell her brands. She has a hair care line named after her and is the face of that brand and she is the face of her cocktail line. Of course she needs to be out and about doing things like showing up at donut shops and palling around with 60 year old wives of agencies now that Taylor and Gigi and that circle has been cut off. Unfortunately, it is all backfiring on her and every time she seems to step out it doesn’t work out because the public is largely against her.

Justin is absolutely doing the right thing by laying low and his profession calls for it anyway so don’t see the comparison or the big deal.

Wayfarer is busy making movies? Which ones??? How is that pac man movie going?

They just debuted Eleanor The Great (which received a 5 min standing ovation) - directed by Scarlet Johansson at Cannes. This is easily googleable.

But Wayfarer didn't make it, nor did they promote it and they will not distribute it. They put up some money and if it earns out, they'll make some money. Heath and Baldoni are executive producers, which means they were not substantively involved.

This is laughably obvious and sounds exactly like someone completely clueless about the film business. Yes. Movie studios finance films, greenlight projects, and hire key personnel like directors and producers to create films. That's quite literally the way the business works. The question was what films are they making, and I provided you with the answer defined by the central role a film studio plays in the production and distribution of the film. It would be the same if you asked what movies are Disney making and someone knowledgeable would list the most recently released Disney films or ones in production. You didn't ask what movies Heath and Baldoni specifically are making, implying a directorial position. And to correct another error you made, the role of an executive producer varies greatly depending on the production. They're often involved in financing, packaging and developing, securing talent, they can have creative input, and general business oversight. We have no clue what level of involvement they were in on this project to determine that.

And Justin is not developing any films or prepping to direct anything. It's fair to say he is truly doing nothing right now. Wayfarer lists a few projects "in development" on their website (including the Pac-Man movie and a film adaptation of the book Errands & Espionage) but when I searched trade publications, it looks like they are stuck in turnaround (meaning development is stalled and there is no current activity).

You seem confused and conflating different subjects as you see fit. First, you asked a question about Wayfarer and responded with the perception that Wayfarer Studios consist merely of Justin and Heath as a directorial partnership when they are the founders and have over 45 employees across 3 continents. Then you make a claim and separate the role Justin has as a director from Justin the co-founder as not developing any films when in the same paragraph you point out that Wayfarer has several projects "in development", 1, admitting you were wrong about them not "making movies" in the first place and 2, negating your argument that Wayfarer simultaneously exist as an identity for Justin and Heath, thereby admitting he is "developing films" . You can't keep your story or reasoning straight.

And as far being stuck in turnaround, again that is COMMON within the film business. It takes on average 2-5 years to complete a film from development to release. You don't seem to have any clue what you're talking about.

They also recently spun off a part of their business focused on making movies/content about Baha'i. I do think Baldoni has essentially been put in timeout by Wayfarer and Freedman in Hawaii, with the belief (a good one) that if he is out of the public eye and silent, he cannot do any additional damage to the case or the company.

And you've moved the goalpost again. A few post up you were denigrating Justin for "hiding out" in Hawaii and now you're saying it's great that he's out of the public eye. Go figure. You are the living embodiment of the plaintiff.

I'm not responding to ALL of this nonsense, but I will note:
* You are confusing multiple different posters, and attributing one's remarks to the other. Wrong.
* You say it's not clear what involvement Wayfarer had in Eleanor the Great and that maybe it was enormous! That is total fantasy, a it has been widely reported that Wayfarer just financed the movie, and the 4 Wayfarer people who produced the movie are listed as Executive Producers, not Producers, which we should all know by now means they did the least work of the real producing team. Several outlets reported that Scarlett Johannsen had never even met Baldoni. I am the PP who asked the question of what movies Wayfarer was making, and I don't include just sitting there and financing a film as "making" it. Justin Baldoni didn't "make" Eleanor the Great. He helped "make" IEWU. He "made" Clouds. He didn't sit in his house in Hawaii and spend hours "making" EtG. Please be real here and stop puffing.
* I recall it being reported months ago that Baldoni's "Pac-man" project has been put on hold. Name one real project that Baldoni is working on right now, if you can. We'll wait.

You won't answer because you're largely clueless and kept conflating Baldoni with Wayfarer as a simultaneous entity. Wayfarer did MAKE Eleanor The Great because they are the film studio who financed it, greenlit it, hired key personnel, and had creative oversight. That is precisely what a film studio does. You didn't say who directed the film. You said what movies have Wayfarer made and were given the correct answer based on the context you provided and by the film business definition. Disney makes films. Lionsgate makes films. Paramount makes films. It's the exact same thing. In your desperation to attack Justin, you can't even make credible or sensible arguments.

Name one "creative oversight" detail that Justin Baldoni got involved in on Eleanor the Great.

Or Wayfarer for that matter. Just one.

Well Scarlett Johansson was quoted in the press saying wayfarer was “super supportive“ during the making of the film and the article described them as “ a major backer” so it definitely seems like they had quite a bit of involvement.

Yes! They were "super supportive" by forking over a ton of cash and then having absolutely no involvement with the rest of the creative decisions besides pinning it to their instagram so that they could bask in the glow of Scarlett Johannsen!

And you have proof of this I'm assuming.

What, you are surprised “Arlington mom” would have insider level Hollywood knowledge?

In the good times Baldoni fans here are so in love with Reddit that they urged people to go there and even posted comments from it here word for word, unattributed! But now that Baldoni's case is falling apart a little and whispers of annoyance with Freedman have started on Reddit, it's like people here have never heard of the site.

Let's backup and remember Lively is the one who withdrew her emotional distress claims - a major part of the case - and Liman struck down her ability to present evidence for it. Not to mention her former best friend and confidante has switched sides and actively provided Freedman with all the information he needed to avoid her own subpoena. Lively is the one who lost big time and whose case is falling apart as time passes by. She has an uphill battle to climb with the burden of proof to prove pervasive sexual harassment, loss of wages, and an untraceable smear campaign, which at this conjecture she does not have sufficient evidence for. And we're not even addressing the major elephant- in that she better hope to God Swift did not provide Freedman with a smoking gun text message that would completely kill her credibility and case. My sneaking suspicion is that she did and that's why Blake wanted her to delete them and in desperation tried extorting her as a final resolution. Which Freedman swore under oath he has proof that's exactly what happened. The witch is cooked.

I do wonder how the doc review is handled on cases like this. Here on the east coast it would be crazy to put a bunch of associates on doc review -- it would be farmed out, and associates would look at the docs the larger team tagged as hot. But those doc review teams often work remotely, and not all in a big room like they used to do sometimes before covid. But when you have a high profile case like this, how do you stop reviewers from leaking some of the juicy documents if they're working remotely? I have no idea how this is handled out there.

Since the subject came up, I went ahead and checked out the aforementioned subreddit. One thread that made a solid point in that Lively has not yet presented an incriminating text message of Baldoni where he actively flirts with or propositions her. If the sexual harassment was as overtly predatory as being claimed, she should have some form of correspondence from Baldoni with no other context outside of reflecting a form of romantic or sexual interest. So far, nothing. She's the one who made inappropriate text messages alluding to blow jobs and he responded back with a quip about his wife and family. If it were the other way around, her supporters would rightfully make the assertion that he had crossed the line and that it was an incriminating damning example of his behavior and how Lively had to revert attention back to her family as a shield for his advances. If he was so predatory, why would she invite him on her private jet with her children? That'll be one to explain to the jury.

Exactly. BL lied and blew up her life all by herself. Karma.

Nobody is doing doc review for high profile cases remotely.

I had a friend who worked a case like this where they hired a bunch of associates to go over sensitive materials. Everyone had to sign an NDA and phones were not allowed in the main warehouse where all the cubicles were located.

There is no there there. That dog ain’t hunting. The two psycho dimwitted bullies and their enabler Ari thought they could cook up a hoax and railroad an innocent man for sport. They never thought he would or could fight back.
