What was your rate of weight loss on ozempic, wegovy, etc.? How many pounds a week?

If you were losing too much weight how did you slow it down? Did you ask your doctor to adjust the dosage down?

I've lost on average about 2 pounds a week since the beginning of December. My appetite is starting to come back on my current dose, but I'm trying to stay on it for another month so I don't go up too quickly. I used to be on Saxenda and found once I got to the max dose it stopped work for me.

I'm only averaging half a pound a week. I'm on the third highest dose and it is pretty frustrating - get hungry by day 3. It is better than nothing and I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own - I've tried. 22 pounds total. 40-45 to go.

It’s been super
Slow with me. Started on September. Lost 15 so far. Would like to lose 15 more. I’m on 1.7

I am about 6 weeks in and down 10 lbs. My doctor thinks I am going too fast so I have stayed at .50. She likes to see about 1 lb a week.

53 lbs a little less than 6 weeks.
I am super morbidly obese and I no longer have an appetite.

I"m down 7 lbs in the first month (I've had 5 shots thus far). It doesn't feel too fast, but I certainly feel like a new person already.

53 pounds over 10 months (165 - 112). Some weeks nothing, some weeks 2-4 pounds. Exercise 6 days a week and have kept it off for 4 months the since stopping. So far so good. I am 5'1"

Expected is 1-2lbs a week. Unfortunately, some people freak out if they’re not losing 5lbs a week.

77 pounds. 11 months next week. Pretty evenly spread out. So yeah, 1-2 a week. My weight loss center is against much faster loss. “Safe, healthy, sustainable” (and for women in the 45+ set like me, can be accomplished without losing too much muscle, although I eat what feels like a metric sh-t ton of protein a day and do 120 minutes of strength training a week).

+1. Anatomy of a FB Wegovy support group:

Week 1: I’ve lost 6 pounds
Week 2: make that 12
Week 5: I lost 20 pounds on the first dose, moved up and nothing for two days. Why isn’t it working ?!?!

This, plus the people who are:

Week 1: wow, I’m only having to eat 300 calories a day
Week 2: make that 200!
Week 5: I’ve missed 6 days of work since I started due to exhaustion. When am I going to stop feeling tired all the time??? I want to exercise, really. But I’m too exhausted!!! But, plus side, down to 150 calories a day.

(For reference, my bariatric center wants me to aim for 1200 calories a day and understands that it might be closer to 1000 when I dose up or the couple days after a shot. If I drop below that or drop weight too fast, they will drop my dose, whether I like it or not. And I have a ton of energy).

Which is why I gave up on FB Wegovy support groups. Either doctors aren’t setting expectations with patients before scribing or patients aren’t listening.

Half a pound a week. And I am very overweight. I wouldn’t worry about losing weight too quickly before it actually happens…

A pound a week for two months then gained 15 after I stopped.

Are this many people really on this? I am very overweight but have a big aversion to these pills.

I lost 25 lbs the first 4 months, then 15 in the next 6-7 months. I started at .25 and then went to .5 in month 2-4 before moving up to 1.0. Now I am ramping down, back to .5 and should drop to .25 in another month.
