Which makes me taller than him in heels. Neither of us is short but would this bother you? Would it bother him? Would you stop wearing heels because of it? Right now I’m limiting myself to 1 heels and it’s annoying me.

I’ve been happily married for almost 20 years to a man who is an inch shorter than I am.

Pros: loving husband, excellent father, partner in life, best friend

Cons: I’m taller than him when I wear heels.

It wouldn't bother me, but most of us have insecurities about at least one aspect of our appearance. Your insecurity is your height which is fairly common. I have extremely short nail beds and tend to hide my hands.

I'm 5'11", husband is 5'8" and we have been married for 43 years. I have worn 3" heels when going out with him , not so much anymore since I'm old. He loves my height and I find his confidence extremely attractive. Get over it and wear what you want.

He will tell you if it does. I remember my father asking me not to wear heels at my wedding so he wouldn’t look shorter than me. I was happy to oblige because flats were so comfortable.

DH is roughly 1 inch taller than I am. When we were dating, I asked him if it bothered him that I was taller in heels. He said it didn't. But then after we were married, any time I did wear heels, he would comment on how I was taller than he was. I got sick of him bringing it up every damp time, so I stopped wearing high heels.

We've been married over 20 years now, and knowing what I know about him now and his hangups from the way he was raised, I think he intellectually didn't want to have an issue with my being taller, but emotionally, he did.

I dated someone my height once. His height didn’t bother me. His untreated anxiety, depression and short person complex did!

No, I’ve always preferred men of about my height. I’m 5’4”, DH is 5’6”, teen DS is 5’5”, teen DD will be lucky to break 5’. Tall men don’t do it for me.
