| Rumor is TD GP is after his old club hard once again and just hired JW and AP to coach boys ECNL. Arlingtons boys ECNL program is taking all Union players and giving all of them offers. |
Isn't GP ECNL Director? |
| can ECNL kick Fairfax Union out of ECNL if they cant compete in boys next year? |
| how are the Boys ECNL union tryouts going? |
Sure. |
| Absolutely! Both guys and girls programs. |
| It looks like Fairfax Union boys program will be alot weaker next year for sure. |
'rumor"? why would ARL take "all" players from there? it would mean cutting their current ECNL team players nonsensical |
| They’re just going to kick off their current Arlington players? Sure |
That would be WWIII at Arlington if that happens. Nobody wants McLean a**hats. |
Have current Arlington players received their offers yet. I will confirm there were about 8-10 Union players at the ID session my kid attended. |
I hate this Bullsh*t the same thing happened when Vienna coaches came over to Arlington many years ago. Also saw it happen to one of his Alexandria teams--7 players last minute add from same team. Probably only 1-2 should have made it but they billed themselves as a 'package deal' so the lesser players rode on their coattails. Things like this decimate a current team. With all the BS at VYS, Union/McLean, and BRYC---Arlington would be absolute idiots to welcome that lunacy to their program (parents included). SYC was smart to retreat and pull out from it. |
I didn't see any standout players from Union at the ID sessions for Arlington. |
|
Yawn. I'm not surprised that someone at Arlington would reach out to a few of the better players from "Fairfax Union" or whatever it's called and invite them to tryout for Arlington.
That's pretty much all this boils down to. |
This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Arlington is higher in the standings in every ECNL age group, except one. My son's 2010 team has played against Arlington and Union and I don't know that there's one Union/McLean player that would be a lock to make Arlington. If the McLean/SYC was a union at all, all the best boys players were at SYC. |
