DD needed a can for a project, and the condensed milk container fit the bill. So now I need to figure out a way to use up a can of condensed milk. What are your favorite recipes?
The only possible answer here is Magic Cookie Bars! https://www.eaglebrand.com/recipe/magic-cookie-bars/
Tres leches cake!
You must make this: https://food52.com/recipes/77731-j-kenji-lopez-alt-s-ten-minute-lime-cracker-pie
Just eat it with a spoon. I love that stuff. Drizzle it over fruit salad like Mexican fruterias
You can transfer it to a glass jar and make dulce de leche in a crockpot.
Use a spoonful in your coffee for a few weeks
+1 It also stores amazingly well in a glass jar in the fridge. |
Toss it out.

This recipe uses up less than a full can, and these cookies aren’t that sweet at all. I do always add a bit of some flavoring (vanilla, lemon zest, orange zest, etc)

TRES? En esta economia!? |
Thank you all! Although I am most drawn to the lime dish, I think I’ll make the magic bars. It’s portable so the kid can take it to school.

I came across this recipe a couple of weeks ago and saved it—I didn’t have any sweetened condensed milk! I need to remember to buy some.
