APS candidate forums

When do APS candidate forums start? I'm voting for KC but want to hear what ZTH has to say.

APE hosting one next week. Haven’t seen other announcements yet.

I would wait for a forum that's a little less biased. There will be others.

Yes, avert your gaze, lest you be corrupted by APE's hidden agendas to defund public schools and end the fluoridation of water! Don't trust your critical faculties. A few minutes listening to candidates answering questions is enough to get normal, right-thinking people to start craving book-banning and distilled water!

Look I'm sorry to tell you that this is the reality that APE created for itself. The group left a really, really, really bad taste in people's mouths - like nothing I've ever seen before. You made your bed, lie in it.

Maybe there’s been APE membership turnover? It has in fact been a couple years. It could be a whole new group, and a lot of younger parents are brand new to APS. They probably know nothing of APE’s past.

Yeah, I will not be in attendance at APE's forum. I'll find information somewhere else.

I honestly wonder how many people will show up.

Nope. Most of the people in APE's leadership have been there since their inception during the pandemic. It's the same names. How would you know if anyone joined anyway? Do they even have membership outside of their Facebook page? Also, I've signed up for their newsletter. I don't know why because I don't read it. I wonder if they consider me a "member."

They do seem to attract the ignorant type.

You are a member and that's why they call themselves BiParTisAn.

Aggressively attacking schools, teachers, and other parents tends to do that.

Go look up the founder and take a look at their employer and online presence.

Did you guys even look at the forum? It’s being moderated by ArlNow. Do you not trust a local news source to moderate a panel of candidates?

Link to ArlNow?

Arlnow likes controversial quotes so they like APE. I’m gonna stop reading Arlnow now that I know about this relationship. Really bad decision on the part of a supposedly nonpartisan publication.
