To charge more during peak hours. It won't be long until McDonald's and the rest of fast food will soon follow suit. I don't eat fast food but I am so fed up with corporate greed and screwing the consumer every way they can. One of omy pet peeves is the way women's clothes are categorized. We used to be able to buy pant suits with jacket and pants as one unit but some greedy corporate Suit figured out that selling "separates" made a lot more money!

Lol, I’m laughing at surge pricing for fast food.
It’s all well and good, but who really wants to pay extra for Wendy’s? They’re not a hotel or an airline! |

I went to McDonald's for the first time in a couple of years the other day and was shocked that a large fry is now $5! Never mind the price of a Big Mac. I'll never go again because for less money I can get a much better burger and fries at Papa Gino's.
These fast food restaurants are going to put themselves out of business with these prices and now this ridiculous surge pricing - charge even more at the busiest times like breakfast, lunch and dinner - LOL! It would be one thing if they sold a very nice product, but half the time the fries are half cold and the burger is slapped together like a blind person was cooking. No bueno! |

I avoid women’s separates and fast food. Vote with your dollars.
As a teen, I saw a sweater in the women’s section and later saw a cheaper one in the men’s section. I was angry about that. They’ve been doing this kind of thing a long time. I like to buy some secondhand clothes partly for these reasons. |

A smart fast food place would introduce anti-surge pricing. Reduce the prices when traffic is really low to steal it from others.
