| Just saw the latest Jane posts. Made my weekend!!!!!! |
This will be very interesting. I don's see Tina being as shallow as "J". Is there a Grandma Barbie in stores?
|
| Tina is the exact opposite of Big Sis. She’s content to live a quiet, private, content life without the constant try hard energy. |
|
Tina doesn't seem to have the need to be the main character all the freaking time. In spite of Jen's need to be front and center and have it be about her all the time, there's an undertone of insecurity to her.
Seems like Gavin & his bridge are sensible people. I'm sure there will be boundaries. |
BRIDE not bridge

aww even internet bestie Jamie called her out on the I-won't-be-called-grandma nonsense.
Jamie knows the healing power of grandchildren. |
I have always wondered about this too. His book sales are not great. He has the occasional speaking gig and the event organizers usually pay expenses + a small stipend. He has the oddball C-list acting part. He never posts pictures of his space or talks about doing mundane things like filing tax returns or going to the grocery store. My guess is that he lives with roommates and has a non-glamorous side hustle like delivering for Uber eats that doesn't fit his "author/activist" cosplay he's got going on. When he goes to NYC with Jen, I'm sure she probably foots the bill and when he goes without her, he probably crashes with friends. I'd bet good money that there's a side of his life that is very ordinary and doesn't fit who he's casting himself as on social media. People like this made me really hate social media. |

Mommy bloggers: I'm so in love with my husband. He's the best ever.
My husband left me and everything I said was a lie. My marriage was actually terrible. Now I have a new guy and I'm so in love with him. He's the best ever. I mean it this time. What the heck ever, narcissists. No desire to buy a book that spouts like advice from any of these people. |
One night during one of my 3 a.m. insomnia periods, I checked out the reviews. There was I think around mid 90’s total. Eighty-something five star. But only 30 written ones. All. From. Women. And they were so ridiculously over the top. Phenomenal, didn’t think he could surpass his first book, powerful, another masterpiece, ad nauseum. |
By and large, those are the reviews from the "team" they put together to review the advance reader copies to generate positive reviews and give new books a boost as soon as they come on the market. Jen is likely very involved in getting those books into most, if not all, of those hands. Most of those initial reviewers come from the ranks of her super-loyal book club people and the handful of secondary sales that are from Jen's corneaters buying her man's book because they love her. She deserved every bit of that touching dedication. Oh wait. |
| Jen is giving major Barb vibes. IYKYK |
100% this. OMG soooooo true. Riiiiiight up to the implosion of Big Sis’ marriage her ex was the dearest, most dear, most loving blah blah blah ever and aren’t they this cutest ever?? Then, real soon after the marriage ended, all of the sudden the recent past several years of her marriage was loveless and sad and full of deceit and betrayal. Blah blah blah. And now it’s Big Sass who’s the dearest and most dear, the greatest blah blah blah. These people just cannot be honest or real. Everything is fake. |

This is why no one is buying their books.
Fool me once- I bought your book and believed you when you said your marriage was amazing and you loved Jesus in this new, edgy, faith way and you enjoyed a glass of wine and toasted your restricted fundamentalist upbringing and your freedom from it. But fool me twice? I don't think so. |
| I was the sucker who bought Glennon's first book and then pre-ordered her second book which was all about how she saved her marriage. And then one month before that book came out, she announced that she was leaving her marriage and getting a divorce. I tried to get out of the pre-order, but to no avail. And this is why we don't pre-order books, kids. |
