Probiotic to help with weight loss?

Anonymous
I've tried a few brands, and they either did nothing or made me bloated af.

Has anyone tried/liked a probiotic that helped with weight loss?

Are you hoping for a big poop to help you shed some pounds or are you actually expecting you will lose fat? Probiotics don’t do anything for fat loss. Only calorie deficit does.

Junk science OP. This is not what probiotics do.

Who said it helps with weight loss?

Eat real food. That will help your “gut micro biome” everybody is obsessed with now. And you will lose weight.

Actually they are just cracking the surface on all the ways probiotics may effect us. Op I would focus on individual highly studied strains. Here is a study on mice. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9280677/

It's all pretty trial/error... I like Bifidobacterium longum but I don't take it for weight loss.

There is a study about this strain though:

Different probiotic strains have been shown to have different beneficial anti-obesity effects such as reduced body weight gain, improvements in insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake, and reduced fat depots accumulation in rodents.

Yogurt usually contains lacto acidophilus which has been shown to cause weight gain in humans and animals. It's actually given to livestock at times to increase weight gain.

I take Seed probiotics which has that strain in it mentioned above. But no weight loss for me.
