Hello there,

Trust all is well. Based on information shared with my child in school - we wanted to confirm IAAT test is timed at 4 sections - 15 questions and 10 minutes per section with total of 40 minutes test time.

If so,

1) Would student be allowed to go back and re-visit questions that they passed because these specific questions were taking too long for them to solve as long as they are under overall test time of 40 minutes?

2) OR they would be allowed to go and re-visit only the question of a respective section they are in within 10 minute window of that section?

Thank you very much!

By "passed" I think you mean skipped in the interest of time ? If so , believe one should be allowed to revisit them so long as you are within the time limit.

The second part is interesting- I don't know if you are allowed to re-visit the skipped questions within a specific section (10 minutes time) or overall test ( 40 minutes time)!

I believe they are only allowed to revisit questions in the particular section they’re working on.

+1, I have proctored this test many times. they can only stay in the section that they’re currently working in. they cannot go back to revisit a previous or future section.

How is the IAAT scored , I heard >= 91% for Algebra-I eligibility in grade 7 FCPS. Is it >= 91 percentage or percentile?

If percentile - any historical information on how many incorrect questions out of 60 it tends to be ( 5-6 etc).....understand that percentile varies based on overall correct responses each year.

Thank you very much.

We were told at a recent middle school open house that to qualify for Algebra I in 7th grade you need to be in the 91st percentile and get 500+ on grade 7 SOL.
