Bored--where would you send your kid?

So far DD has been accepted to the following. She is interested in Computer Science. Where should I send her with her current results?

Michigan (data science, not CS)
Florida (CS, honors)
Rutgers (CS, honors)
Binghamton (CS, honors)
Toronto (CS)

FYI in-state for NY, originally from DMV. Donut hole family but she has a college fund.

by the way, very few people, especially children understand what computer sciences is.

If she comes to you and says she has computer science, advise her to switch to information systems, which is the business side of computer science, application instead of theory.

+2 on Michigan first, then Florida. For me, Florida is a non-starter so I'd send my kid to Michigan.

Is FLA even good for her major? I didn't think they had a strong reputation in that regard.

I'd say Michigan. But you're going to have to lose the phrasing - this is not about you. Clearly the student had reasons for these schools.

100% Binghamton. It's a great school and your college fund will go a lot further with a state school. Seems like a no brainer
