Banneker interviews

Have any of your kids gotten their invite to Banneker interviews? I'm getting a little concerned that we haven't heard yet.

Kids at my son's school have already interviewed.

My son has not yet been invited either and I am also a little concerned.

I believe in past years interviews have continued well into the spring.

Thanks for that! I think my kid should at least make the interview.

My child has not been invited either. I think he should at least make the interview, but I also thought he would get an interview for SWW and that didn't happen, so what do I know?

my kid (now a 9th grader) got an invite for interview after the first wave; I don't think it was any indication of fit or anything -- many other high performers at their middle school also attended a later interview day.

We got a phone call this week for an interview next week. My impression is that they are just moving through the applications, throughout February/March, but I don't know for sure, of course. Be patient and good luck!

The first round of interviews was February 14, and there's a second round on March 6.

Our interview is scheduled for next week, not March 6.

I'll have to keep an eye out for calls. Given the volume of spam I hope I didn't screen it out. The other interview info we've gotten has come by email.

They called my work number and I almost didn't answer it. I think the caller ID said DC NET.

We got a call last Friday and had ours this past week. DD was thrilled with the whole experience, and we reordered our list to make Banneker first. Top marks from this family. They're were a number of other kids being interviewed.

Got an email on Tuesday (2/20) for an interview scheduled for 3/6. One of my daughter’s friends had an interview today and she had friends from another school interview last Thursday (2/15), so not sure if there is any pattern.

Don’t they have to meet the deadlines for MySchoolDC lottery? So at least a first interview by the end of March?
