When I was growing up, and until I was 25, I didn't really know anything about nutrition, and ate pretty unhealthily.
For example, every week my diet included a pack of hot dogs, a can of spam, a couple packs of ramen, burgers, fries. As a child/teen, at least I also had fruit and vegetables. From 18-25, I barely touched any fruit or vegetables, and after 21, I drank about 7-8 alcoholic drinks a week. Just wondering if this diet had any long term adverse effects on my health? |
Doubtful. What is your health like now and how old are you? |
I'm 50. I'd say I'm fairly healthy. No major health issues. Total cholesterol levels are on the higher side, but I have extremely high HDL and very low blood pressure, which my doctor says is protective. Not on any meds. Below average weight and BMI. I was hospitalized a few times: 1) I had precancerous cells removed from my cervix about 10 yrs ago. 2) Appendix removed 18 yrs ago 3) Benign lump removed 24 yrs ago I'm fairly active, and eat pretty well. And drink 2-3 drinks a week now. |
