I must say I like this new jeans-wearing Kate. Very different from her last 10 years of non-stop coat dresses no matter the weather. Wonder what brought up the change?

Lot of discussion about her weight up thread. She does look a bit thinner than this time last year.

It’s kind of interesting because when her and William had their big post-college breakup she lost a lot of weight and then was pictured out clubbing and then shortly thereafter he came crawling back. Seems like the weight is tied into their relationship somehow.

As a long-time Kate style watcher, she's worn jeans many times over the past decade, just for casual events where they'd be appropriate. I agree she looks great in them.

That seems like a massive projection. It's pretty common to lose weight/start exercising more or "glow up" after a breakup, and many couples get back together a few months after a breakup. Those seem like two unrelated things that you're forcing together. Why?

This was an official engagement. So there's a difference. She's done it twice that I can see in 2021 - and never before. So again, a change.

She's worn jeans to many official engagements in the past. As I said earlier, she's worn them many times over the years for casual "official engagements" where jeans are appropriate, so this actually isn't anything new. If you're new to following Kate's style (I am not), that's okay, but she has actually been criticized in the tabloids many times for her dedication to skinny jeans. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he was going to live in Norfolk at Anmer Hall (three hours east of London) and she would live in Berkshire near mom (1 hour west of London) then they meet in the middle at KP for engagements.

During the pandemic they decided they hated 'working' and schooling the kids from home, so one or both of them started working from Sandringham Palace. Keep in mind Anmer Hall has 10 bedrooms, a conservatory, and three floors. But they couldn't make it work?

Fine. Now they're putting out feelers to get a rental in Berkshire in the center of the Middletons, keep the Anmer Hall home, the offices in Sandringham, and find time to meet back at Kensington Palace too?

Its weird. The last time this happened Charles was using Anmer as his base for an affair with Camilla.

The Cambridges took somewhere around 67 trips by private helicopter in 2020. The same year of the pandemic when the entire U.K. was on lockdown. Everyone knows Will+Kate decamped permanently to Anmer Hall in April 2020 when mysteriously the Prime Minister, Prince of Wales, AND the Duke of Cambridge all got Covid in the same time period.

So where they were going hmm? Don't so Sandringham - its a 5-minute drive down the street from Anmer Hall.

My guess - Kate was flying to see mommy in Berkshire with the kids and William was flying to his honeyhole.
