I’m looking for good earrings I can wear to the office or with jeans and a sweater.

I don’t want fake gold that wears off; I need tips on reputable brands/vendors as well as tips on what is a timeless style.

OP -- you don't want to pay a premium to a luxury jewelry retailer like Tiffany for simple gold stud earrings. Gold is gold. Here are some reasonably priced earrings from the two big online retailers.
