Sky Zone for 13th Birthday

Anonymous
Is this an age appropriate venue to have a party? The guest will be between 11-15. If not, can you recommend any other venues? I’m in Montgomery County. TIA!

My 13 year old just went to a birthday party there and had a blast

I had my son’s 12th birthday party there last year and he recently attended a 13th birthday there.

His birthday is coming up and suddenly he thinks he is too old for sky zone. Weird teen hormones.

When my DS turned 13, he thought a place like that was too "kiddie" and wanted a teenage party. SkyZone just felt like an elementary school party to him.

So we had to reduce the head county, but went to one of those fancy bowling places, reserved 2 lanes and they got to hang out, bowl, and order appetizers for a few hours.

Just posted above that my kid’s 13th birthday party is coming up and he thinks he is too old for sky zone even though he literally just had his party there last year.

Some places I have suggested to him and he didn’t accept were bowlero, top golf and paintball. He just got invited to an escape room party. He was interested in having one but he has too many friends and escape room max is 6-7 people.

Skyline is too babyish for 13, 14 and 15 year olds.

Might be ok for 11 or 12 but 12 is even pushing it.

I meant Sky Zone

Sounds fun to me! It's something I would have still loved at those ages. But, I wasn't one of those kids that at 13 or younger than I was too cool or too old to be a kid.

OP here, I made these same suggestions to my DD and she didn’t accept them either. An escape room was also an idea, but again, wants to invite too many people for that to work out.

How about a spa day? Movies.

DD went to a Skyzone and Top golf party and said both were boring. I'm also interested in other venues for her birthday. It's a difficult age.

It's definitely easier for boys at this age.

Can't go wrong with Paintball for 13yo boys.

What about something at your house, but you rent a fancy karaoke from a party place? Sure, it'll be TS for 4 hours in your family room, but it could be fun?

Maybe laser tag instead? Late night.

Anyone do a karaoke party? I was thinking of renting a private room for my DD and her friends for her 12th birthday. I know these places aren't necessarily for kids but I was going to book the earliest slot (5-7pm).

We had our 20 year old party at SkyZone. They have a evening time glow party that I think would work for a teen party.
