Super Bowl snacks 2024

What are you making? I need some inspiration. I’m looking for a new dip this year and maybe something sweet.

Here's my working list

Deviled eggs
Tater tots in bacon
Breaded shrimp (might bake instead of fry)
Ledo pizza
Frozen chicken strips
Fruit on skewers
Maybe a salad or just carrots and cherry tomatoes in a bowl to grab
Chips - potato and Dorito

I have a bunch of teenage boys coming so not as fancy this year. might still have baked Brie for the adults.

Dessert needs to be portable: cookies/brownies/cupcakes - have not decided yet

The ham and cheese sliders with double smoked spiral ham, Swiss and cheddar cheese on pretzel rolls and potato rolls
Anonymous
Jalapeño popper dip with refried beans

Are those ham and cheese sliders hot or cold?

I love making homemade onion dip. It's good enough to be worth the effort. I chop and caramelize one yellow, one red, and one white onion (this just makes me happy, any onions are fine, 3 sweet might even be better) in some butter. When done, I deglaze with balsamic. Let completely cool. Mince a bunch of scallions and perhaps some chives as well. Take a big tub of sour cream and fold in the cooled onions and the scallions/chives. Add salt and pepper to taste. And absolutely do not forget to add the salt and pepper. Taste. Not onion dippy enough? You can add onion powder.

Serve with Ruffles. Or to be fancy, kettle potato chips. Or to be fancier than I've ever been, make your own potato chips.

And then I do a huge thing of nachos too (Cool Ranch Doritoes, shredded cheese, scallions, black beans, jalapenos ... and melt under broiler. Serve with salsa, guac, sour cream.)

little sliders: ham and cheddar, turkey and swiss, each held together with a toothpick with an olive or gherkin on top with mayo and mustard on the side (and extra pickles and hot peppers)

veggie tray: carrots, cucumbers, peppers, snap peas, grape tomatoes with onion ranch dip and hummus

cheese plate, probably with some salami, with crackers and the usual stuff (fig jam, etc...)

guacamole and homemade pico with tortilla chips and Doritos and Fritos

hot jalapeño artichoke dip with baguette slices

pigs in a blanket with a variety of mustards

brownies, cookies, cupcakes (unsure exactly which ones) and some big strawberries

beer, seltzer, sodas

Hot…put bottom half of rolls in half pan, spread mustard on bottom, layer on ham, top with shredded cheese, put top of roll on, brush with melted butter with couple drops of Worcestershire.

Optional: sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.

Heat for 40 minutes uncovered at 375 until cheese is melted and rolls are staring to turn toasty.

I’m definitely making the NYT bacon-cheddar dip.

Any ideas for foods that reflect San Francisco? We're doing barbecue for KC, but not familiar with whatever food SF is famous for.
