Corn starch and gut health

Anonymous
I made a new-to-me cookie that uses corn starch instead of wheat flour (https://milkandpop.com/cornstarch-cookies/) and it got me thinking about how corn starch might affect my gut health/microbiobe. I tried to google whether or not it counts as a resistant starch, but couldn't find anything.

Obviously, a cookie is a cookie, not a health food. I'm just wondering what the gut impact and glycemic impact of a larger portion of cornstarch might be; I only usually use a bit to thicken sauces and such.

It's my understanding that any powdered form of food is not optimal.

You are just eating the cookies in reasonable quantitates, occasionally, yes?

I'm not really a fan of them, and probably won't make them again (though my kids like them). Just curious.
