MCPS politics - Real Housewives Recap

Im trying to keep the storylines of the Real Administrators of Montgomery County straight. Can someone bullet point it?

And can we get Bravo to lead the casting…I mean search committee…for the next superintendent?

LOL... please.

The other thread, predictions for next Super, was deleted. This was all bound to happen. We do need the bullet points. Someone please!

At least as far back as 2012-13 school year the MS principals had wild happy hours where some were drunk and trying to take off their clothes. McKnight was in attendance along with Beidleman.

Fast forward to 2023 when the great reporting of Alex Robbins exposing the mess of MCPS and Beidleman, Walker and many other high level staff get placed on leave.

Not long after, Beidleman and Walker file their own complaints for hypocrisy and/or retaliation from MCPS.

January 2024 McPS realized they are 50mill in the hole and freeze all instructional and transportation funds. Copiers are unplugged at most schools and teachers freak out even more about being held to high standards for students success without the necessary resources.

BOE consults a lawyer, but not before McKnight starts her own PR campaign to play the victim.

Robbin’s releases another tell all to let taxpayers know what’s actually behind the curtain.

MCEA releases a statement saying “we told you so” while MCCPTA supports her.

The you know what has just hit the fan. There are only a few leaders left to put on leave and it’s the top 3. Can’t see how they will find their way out of this.

County is blowing $$$$ for PR, payouts, lawsuits, and to cover up their tracks. Meanwhile schools can no longer buy books, paper, and printer ink yet are supposed to perform magic? I have been in the county for 16 years and was a former mcps student; have seen a lot but we are about to hit rock bottom.

And the 10% property tax increase went….? (into the John). We have a spending problem in MCPS and need IG for MCPS desperately- and not one that works for county. Nearing 6 billion with both budgets combined. That’s quite a honeypot.

And if everything is important than really nothing is…

You forgot that Alexandra Robbins is an author who began substitute teaching to gather insider information for her book about teachers. She’s making money off of these stories.

Both the county and mcps need full audits and accountability.
