| Just trying to see if it’s reasonable or not for me to hold my music class for families in the morning. It is a mommy and me class. The building I rent from has staff that is out today so I might have to come early and check conditions of the sidewalk and steps into the space. It’s in Bethesda area but I live in SE DC so not going up to check. If you had young kids, would you bring them to a class in a studio tomorrow morning before noon? Or would you be annoyed if the teacher canceled the classes? I gather some of the families live within the neighborhood and can walk. Just worried about icy sidewalks and roads . |

Absolutely cancel.
Are you kidding? Tomorrow is a frozen tundra high of 24 anything that melted will refreeze. |
| Cancel, definitely |
| I’d be annoyed if it was canceled. |
| I’d be annoyed if it wasn’t canceled. No way would I show up. |
| MCPS just went code red for Saturday (I guess for activities?) so it would be inconsistent not to cancel your class. |
This. Cancel, OP. |
| You should cancel right away, so parents aren't waiting around until the last minute. |
| I agree cancel. Will it be rescheduled? |
| Cancel and say that t=you are following the local govt’s plan as you do not live near the place and cannot ensure their safety, as you have no way to know if the local roads and sidewalks and safe and treated. |
| I can reschedule but not until February. The building manager is shoveling and putting sand down so it might be okay |
It's really not about your building. It's about getting there. Don't make those parents put their babies in cars or cross streets if they otherwise wouldn't choose to do that. Come on. |

You need a policy. If MCPS usually does a Saturday call, that could work, or maybe OPM does?
I would cite MCPS and cancel. Make sure you pick something to follow going forward and communicate it to everyone. |
| DC schools are open? |
| It’s unprofessional to cancel, they can come if they want to. |
