| Can I order pizza for dinner? Or am I an AHole for putting the delivery driver at risk? I would only do it if our street gets plowed. We are in Bethesda. |
| Unless they close, I assume they want to work. |
| Big Tip or you are a jerk. |
|
I think if it’s Uber or DoorDash where the driver is making a choice to work today, it’s 100% fine. Not sure about places that have their own delivery people who *have* to work today. I personally don’t order from those places when the weather is bad.
Of course if you tip really well then no matter what you’re probably good. |
| You can do it, but you have to tip bigtime. At LEAST 100%. |
Yes. Give a huge tip. Someone is out risking their safety because you can’t just put some spaghetti in a pot and call it a day. |
Says the delivery guy... That's f'king crazy. I think 20% is MORE than enough. |
$5 on a $25 pizza in a snowstorm does not seem like enough to me |
Not on a snow day |
Maybe I’m too generous but I wouldn’t even do five dollars for a delivery on a sunny day, not in this economy. I do 7 minimum, usually more like 10. |
NP. Yes on a snow day. TIL ordering from a restaurant that is open and running makes one a "big jerk" because some of us think we're smarter and know what's best for those employees. Let that sink in....
|
| Give a big tip. You are being lazy not wanting to go out, where they are bringing you a major convenience. |
| It’s their job. Absolutely order. |
|
Only if you give them a Huge HUGE tip. HUGGGGEEEE.
|
maybe if your kid was delivering from his all wheel drive newish car, wearing his Patagonia parka and LL bean thinsulate boots and his college fund all set. then sure that would be enough |
