My DD has been long overdue a new bed and she finally got it. It's also been awhile since she got to choose a set of new sheets, comforters & pillows, so she's looking online but we learned in the past that some things with interior design are hard to really match (like with her wall color) through online pics.
What's your favorite physical store for sheets & comforters that a family with a modest DC income could afford? So cost is definitely an issue, but it doesn't have to be the absolute cheapest ever. We live in NE DC, but can drive up to 30 mins out if it's a store with lots of choices. Thanks for any advice! |
| Target actually has really nice sheets. I like them more than ones from west elm or company store. The threshold line is good |
| Target, drive out to a big one in Montgomery County. Not the one in Ivy City. |
| +1 to Target sheets! |
| Target for sure, but IKEA also has some pretty choices. That’s where my 16yo DD got hers. She also picked up some coordinating fabric to make a wall hanging. |
| Target for the win! All our sheets are from there. Guests always comment on how great they are! |
| I love Target sheets too. We have a few of their flannel sheets and they are nice too. |
| We use Target sheets in every room, love them. |
| Omg all DCUM recs are so basic. Target, IKEA, Craigslist. Where are the supposed millionaires with good recs? |
The OP literally said modest income level
|
+1. Target has good quality sheet for modest income level. We’re not going to recommend Boll and Branch or Sferra when the OP specifically said that cost was a factor. |
This is OP, thank you SO MUCH for the recs! Target for the win INDEED! That was the most consensus I've seen on DCUM in all 12 yrs I've been here
Thanks everyone! |
| My teenager got really pretty floral sheets from Target (Laura Ashley), very simple and feminine |
FWIW we use the Target performance sheets on our king size bed in our 3mm new build. We tried Boll and Branch and weren't fans.

| Macy's and stores like TJ max usually have good prices. If you want good sheets, wait for a teen Pottery Barn sale. |
