GTS Flight

My daughter is considering trying out for this organization. Does anyone know how they rank in the AAU world and if they are taking new players?

Mid range local type clubs.. Not the level that attracts the talent like a Nike/Addias team or a mid tier like PV Thunder and the UA teams (although some are good). Basically, if your DD plays on Varsity public team, she has a chance.

I would just try out and see how she stack amongst her peers. Doesn't cost much and it's good information gathering. Watching their games on YouTube, they look competitive and well coached. They only field one team per grade, so it'll be tough to make the squad. If your daughter is good, I'm sure they can fit you in.

Their older counterpart (GTS Fusion) is an Under Armor (UA) Team.

Does GTS Fusion still exist? What is the difference between the two teams? Is the location one of the differences?

GTS Fusion 14U - 17U
GTS Flight 9U - 13U

Do they both practice in Loundoun?

DD attended the GTS Fusion open gyms. Is the organization as disorganized as it appears? It was chaotic. We weren't able to get basic information like how many teams they fielding per level, where they practice and while tryout dates seem to be close (next week), they haven't posted them. Do only the invited get to go? My DDs friend got told to attend by a coach but DD did not. Not sure if that's just a coach being friendly or if there is meaning to it.
Finally, where do these teams play? Do they only travel? Can someone with experience dealing with Fusion elaborate on whether more transparency and information will be disclosed?

GTS Fusion is disorganized but there is no secrecy to their tryouts. Dates have been posted to socials. GTS Flight is probably the less chaotic counterpart so if you are in Loudoun , there a good mid-tier option.

So much misinformation. GTS is a leading AAU team. Nothing disorganized or mid tier about it. You're lucky to make their team!!

They aren't an EYBL team. That makes them mid tier

Are they organized? Is it a good organization to join?

The GTS flight teams that I've seen play appear to be well coached.

What about Fusion?

Flight is well coached. Agreed there.

No one knows about Fusion. It seems to be a very selective approach to AAU basketball with very selective players. Not even sure if they play locally much at all.
