| Bay Area? No. Bakersfield? Maybe. |
|
Nearly impossible to get home insurance these days in that entire state.
|
| Hahaha no. 10 years ago my house in NoVA was worth ~$500k and my parents’ in Southern California was ~$700k. Spouse and I were talking about saving a bit more and moving out there. We missed the boat. Today, our house is worth ~$800k and theirs is around $2m for a s. shack. It has exploded in pricing. |
| Uhhh no. I live in Orange County. You cannot find a decent condo for under $600K and I'm not talking "fancy" by any stretch of the imagination. |
Condos in Irvine’s Woodbridge section are pushing up against a million. And they were all built in the 80s. Unreal. |
|
The 2br/2ba 1680 sq foot bungalow I sold in 2012 for $1mil is now worth $2mil. No, it's still not affordable.
You're delusional, OP. |
My friend's 2 bd1 ba 928 sqft in OC is worth $550k, bought in 1996 for $87k. My MoCo 4br/3ba 3200sq ft is worth $890k. so, no, CA is not affordable now. Sheesh. |
Yep, and Irvine is inland - it's a 25-30 min drive to the beach. That said Irvine does have some of the best schools in CA so that is part of it. That said the surrounding areas are still untouchable. |
| Hhahaahahaha. No. |
| OMG, no. Not in Orange County. New house on my street went for 4.2 million. We are not even in the most affluent city. |
| It would be nice if prices were falling. My kids are moving out of state because it is so unaffordable and rents are high too. |
where in OC are you? |
| My sh*thole condo in the valley is falling apart, can’t get insurance, only 1000sq ft and worth 700k lol no not affordable yet, here in Los Angeles! |
Thousands of people have moved out of CA because they are priced. You can include us in that statistic. |
