baking sheet recommendations

New oven in our dinky condo is too narrow to accommodate our William Sonoma 'gold' half sheet baking sheet, but a quarter sheet is too small for things like cookies, roasted vegetables, etc.

I would love something non-toxic, so I looked at Lodge for cast iron sheets but they're also too wide at 20" once you also consider the handles. We need something like 17.5" max, including the edges/handles.

I found a stainless steel one, but it is $99 (with a coupon) and I've never used a stainless baking sheet before - anyone tried one?

Any recommendations for other sheets to consider?

Nordic Ware Naturals consistently gets top reviews, and is very well priced.

I have Nordic Ware and Vollrath and they are great. The Nordic ware big sheet is 21 x 15 and perfect for roasting vegetables.

I am a huge fan of Vollrath

I have really liked my Caraway baking set.

+1 for Caraway. I bought a large and a medium baking sheet last year and they're terrific. Their cookware overall lives up to the hype, and then some.

USA Pans are great. They're made in the US and truly nonstick.

I have stainless steel ones from Costco that have been great so far.

Nordic ware; you can get a third sheet

I have sheet pans from Nordic ware, USA pans, Volrath, and Tramontina and they've all been great, but I think the sizes are the standard half sheet and quarter sheet and they're all aluminum.

I have roasting pans that are the type that used to come with ovens. They're between a half and quarter sheet and are enameled stainless steel.

Nordic Ware or Chicago Metallic, but I think a half sheet is a half sheet and I'm not sure that they vary in size. Could you use two quarters?

Nordic ware, get the jelly roll size (10x 15)

I also have a variety of baking sheets and not all the same "size" are shaped the same way and I have to get creative to 'nest' them all in their storage space.

But to the OP's issue, how about a Wilton baking sheet? It's stated dimensions are 17.25" x 11.5" but I think those are the inside dimensions. I inherited one and it's sometimes a go-to since it's bigger than a quarter-sheet and (just a tad) smaller than a half-sheet and is still (relatively) non-stick after all these years. Sadly, the outside measurements are 19.5"x 12.5" on mine so it might not work for you. I think Target sells them too so you might be able to measure one in-store before buying.

You'd think appliance manufacturers would have a clue on standard size cookware. Now if the car designers would only find a place for my purse!

Yup. This is the correct response.
