You can make this recipe in a waffle maker:

Ok have you made it? What’s the texture like?

It's denser than regular waffles and does taste of almond. Why are you needing to work with almond flour? I'm familiar with baking with almond flour because I'm on keto -- you can do a lot with it, but it isn't the same as baking with regular flour, or even most gluten-free flour alternatives. If you are going to be working with almond flour permanently, the woman on the website I linked has an almond flour cookbook that I like a lot.

I love almond flour. It's a staple of my home country's baking, France. But generally, we incorporate it with the usual wheat flour, it's not a direct substitute, since it's a bit heavy, and not going to develop elasticity (because it's gluten free). It's just to add depth of taste. I would do 3/4 wheat, 1/4 almond.

These are quite good. I add a mashed banana and a sprinkle of mini choco chips

Thx this is helpful I want to use it for pumpkin waffles for low carb, high protein and great taste. I’m thinking of doing half almond flour and half wheat.

What about almond flour and oat flour mixed? Does that make a good waffle?

Birch Benders has a really good gluten free almond flour pancake and waffle mix.

+1 I do half/half wheat and almond, and no one can tell the difference. Gives a protein boost

Op here…made them with 100 percent almond flour. Delicious….kind of a cake like texture. Very good!

Hi OP, I have just made my first almond flour belgian waffles and they turned out pretty horrible. Very dense and no flavour. I went with the recipe using cream cheese, 2 eggs, no milk at all, and all the dry ingredients. No butter either. So disappointing. Where, oh where did I go wrong?
Almond flour alone was $14((( btw

Op, what recipe did you use?
