Is there a way to tell if a person is gay?
My brother has never mentioned dating, never married and dresses well and wears bright colors occasionally. I don't think he'd tell me if he were because of our upbringing. Is there a way to know? |
How old is he? |
| If he tells you, you will know. Why do you need to know? |
40. |
Yes |
| Maybe he’s asexual. Regardless, there’s generally no way to know for sure unless they tell you. |
| If you want to set him up with someone, ask him! |
Have you tried the secret handshake? |
| Is he handsome? |
| Hold a flashlight behind his ear while he sleeps. If the light come through the other side with a green tinge, he’s queer. |
| Why do you need to know? |
He’s 40, not 20. “Asexual” wasn’t a thing that people claimed in our generation, so he would have “picked a team” by now. So chances are, if OP is not sure, then yes he’s likely gay. |
| I think they sell GAYDAR at The Sharper Image. But if it’s sold out, try Brookstone or Hammacher Schlemmer. |
| Why don't you ask him? My son is gay but no one ever guesses it because he doesn't fit the stereotype in your OP. |

I dunno.
In the early 2000s we were assured people were “born this way” so maybe there’s a gene test you can do??? But in 2024 I think the new thinking on this is that it’s fluid and can be something that changes. (But don’t confuse that with ability to choose it because then that would promote conversion therapy again.) it’s all confusing. But maybe just ask him OR myob |
