How many Evite reminders do you send? Only one response for party so far

We have received only one attending response but all invitations have been opened for a party next weekend.
How many invite reminders would you send? This was the only weekend that worked due to family birthdays each weekend thru February. I sent evites before school let out for winter break as well and they were promptly opened but no one has sent regrets either. DH says people will wait until the day or so before to say yes or no. |

I would do this. Evite reminders go to spam sometimes. |

I would send something Tuesday when people are past vacation mode and back to regular life. |

| I think people are lost in the holiday shuffle. Write to all on January2nd. Then follow up on Wed with phone calls. You need an accurate count, but people are in vacation mode right now. |

Were your evites through text msg? I prefer those—I’m afraid some emailed end up in spam.
How far in advance were your evites? Two weeks or less is not much advance notice, especially around winter break. For me, if it was an enormous, impersonal evite, and I can’t make it, then I might not respond. But I always respond to birthday parties, so the lack of response is concerning. Because of the extreme lack of responses, I would take the unusual step of maybe sending a text evite reminder (sooner rather than later) if I were you? That really sucks—sorry you’re going through that. A couple weeks before or after winter break can be less hectic. |

+1 Send a reminder on Tuesday once people are out of holiday mode. You will get some responses. Many of the rest will respond when the final evite reminder goes out (your DH is correct about that). A few won’t respond at all. How many did you invite? |

+1 Same….always hated this. I often invited (personally, not via evite) a few friends/family friends with similar aged kids to these big parties. That way I knew that worst case scenario, I’d still end up with 8-10 kids (4-5 friends kids, my 3, and hopefully a few from school) and it would be a party. Saved me a few times, as my kids all have birthdays at tough times of year. |

Are any particularly good friends of the birthday child? For those besties I might text earlier, but YMMV.

+1 Not sure how old DC is but if he/she has closer friends I’d text if you have the parents #s. Probably on Tuesday once holidays are over. |

Agree. People are in holiday mode and still in the holiday party mode. Birthday parties are a day to day mode thing. |

Go ahead and get another reminder out or send a text since you're one week out. We are hosting a bday party next weekend as well for my christmas birthday kid and we have most of the responses back (everyone has said yes so far). The only non-responses are the kids invited from school that don't know us.
