None. Car free would be a dream. I fantasize about now blowing hundreds and thousands of dollars over the course of a lifetime on cars, maintenance, fuel, and repairs. It easily costs over $1M in wastes money owning cars in a lifetime.

Mercedes G Wagon. White with black hard top, tan leather interior.

What I own now, a 2001 Honda Civic beater.
Your are trying to cut me off and merge at last second?!
No you are not!

Lamborghini Huracan. The Countach was the car I had a poster of on my wall when I was a kid in the 80s, but while it's a beauty it's also terrible to drive and I like modern safety features.

NP. what kind of joy are you having if you need a dream car? So you spend a lot of time in a car? What, with max 4 other people? What kind of joy are you having living so much of your life in a metal can?

A car is a place to get to/from someplace, and maybe haul things. And with those things, I agree with pp that cars are a major PITA.

Can’t have just one dream car. A true enthusiast needs a dream fleet.

1937 Auburn Boattail Speedster
49 Mercury sedan resto-mod
57 Chevy Nomad street rod
64 Impala SS hardtop coupe
72 Lamborghini Miura
81 ‘Benz 450 SEL 6.9L
82 Chevy K5 Blazer
84 Jeep CJ-8 401
88 Aston Martin Series 5 V8 Vantage
90 Mustang LX5.0 coupe
96 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR-4
00 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport
02 Ford F-Superduty Crew Cab PowerStroke 7.3
05 Audi S8
11 Mustang 5.0 Coyote
17 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
20 Tesla Model S Plaid
Any year Caterham V8
Any 2nd Gen Lamborghini Huracan

That would be my preliminary list. The ones I would want immediately.

DP

What’s your point, exactly?

I’ll bet she can drive a manual. Can you?

One that is fairly safe, always starts with zero maintenance.

I love how you assume that surely everyone has the same mundane one dimensional view of automobiles as you do, and if not how devoid of joy - of your kind of joy, whatever that is - their lives must be. Tell us you’re an unimaginative narcissist without telling us

For other people (lots more of them, btw) cars might mean fun and enjoyment, a goal attained or reward to oneself, an escape pod from work, a wish fulfilled, a manifestation of personal freedom to travel… lots of things.

I don’t even understand why someone who doesn’t at least enjoy cars in some way even posts in thread specifically titled “dream cars”. You’re like the atheist that has to insert themselves into every thread in a religion forum with the obligatory “there is no God, dummies” post.

Bizarre.
