The other day I was in my Boss’s office to show her a new model I have been working on for one of our product. In my line of work we do a lot of presentations on white boards. It was on a Friday, few people were in the office etc but when I was done she told me that she liked my chino pants. Of course I said thanks. She asked for the brand and I told her. But then she said my “glutes look really good in them”. At that point I was embarrassed and apologized but she just responded that it’s okay and she suggested that she should start exercising as well. I haven’t told DW this story because knowing her she will take it to the next level of jealousy.
Why do you guys think? I have never had a stranger comment on my ass before. My friends have but never a coworker. She is married with kids and so am I. So I don’t think there is more to it. Now I finally understand what women go though at work. Even though her comment may not have had ill intent, someone who is not wife openly commenting on my body like this really caught me by surprise. |
Your male friends or your female friends?
Of course no reason to tell your wife unless you like the drama, which I imagine you do. |
| What are glutes? Does she know what glutes means? Sounds to me like she was trying to get fresh |
|
Didn’t happen, try again.
No one under 50 calls them Chinos and if you indeed are old enough to call them chinos she didn’t complement your glutes. |
| Until your boss has groped you in a hotel elevator at a conference and wouldn’t stop even though you were crying, don’t tell me you “understand what women go through at work,” asshat. |
Hmmm what lol? Bruh you are telling us that Chinos is a “boomer” word that’s a new one haha |
I think you are giving an extreme example. Most women who are harassed that’s not go to the level you are describing I am sorry. It’s the daily objectifying of women’s bodies that’s honestly unacceptable. Now I am a man so what I think is irrelevant here. But the idea that every harassed woman is the one pinned down by a worthless piece of sh**t horny man in an elevator is not accurate. |
| Lol way too dumb to be believable |
| She was clearly flirting. 9/10 cases a man, in my opinion, will not realize that a female colleague of his is flirting with him. We had a sexual harassment training the other day and let me tell women harass men as well, but not at the same level as men do it to women. |
| That's harassment. |
| That comment is inappropriate. |
| Women are smart OP. They are not dumb like men. And if they are honey they have incredible self control not to act on it. In my 30 years career I have never seen a man harassed by a woman at work. It’s really rare. I think she is just a funny boss and be thankful . |
|
You will get gender based opinions. Women will say you are being harassed. And men will
Wish they were in your position lol. |
honey? |
Women, being people and all, come in a variety of intelligence levels, integrity levels, fortitude levels... |
