| And now I cannot find them anywhere. No clue where they are. I’ve had so much going on that I started shopping early, I know I moved them at one point (big mistake) and wrapped two early as well (another big mistake) They are small items so that makes looking for them more difficult. I’m so sad thinking I accidentally threw them out. And they were expensive too. Kids are older so won’t be up for at least another 30 mins and I asked DH to go look in the trash. He said he needed 10 more minutes of sleep. |

Top drawer in bedroom dresser?
Linen closet? Guest Room top shelf? |
| Sorry op. I did something like that a few years ago. Hid gifts in the garage and then couldn’t find them. I was up past midnight looking for them. I hope yours turn up! |
| I hid some presents and found them 10 years later! It was a time capsule...lol |
|
I did that last year. Some of the missing stuff turned up in time for birthdays.
And well this year DS2 woke up at dawn and opened the wrong Lego set so now I don’t have anything for their cousin when he comes over |
| How old are the kids? If high schoolers maybe send them on the scavenger hunt |

I do that almost every year. Sometimes I completely forget the gifts exist then when I find them I realize what I’ve done. I’ve misplaced a pair of earrings I bought for my 18yo dd.
I know this isn’t helpful now, but what I’ve started doing when I hide gifts is to add an event in my calendar telling me to get the gift for the person it belongs to and I put the hiding spot as the location. Then I set alerts for a week before and 2 days before the birthday/holiday. It’s saved me quite a few times. Unfortunately I wasn’t hiding these earrings so they didn’t make the calendar. I was showing them to DS and then I put them in a random spot when she walked into the room, but for the life of me I can’t remember where I stuck them. |
In with your shoes. In a bin with winter coats. In the garage In the hall closet with the vacuum attachments |
| Look inside luggage. That's where I hide gifts. |
Walk through the day you hid them and think of what else you did. Are they gift cards? Did you slide them neatly somewhere? Or put them on top of something? |
| After the first time I did that, I started taking photos. I also so that with the Elf. In looking back on my photos seems like I liked rarely used pots and pans as hiding spots. |
| I found missing presents in our basement next to the oil tank. |

Guest room bathtub, under the sink, attic closet, tool shed, behind the book shelf, pantry, bottom drawer of desk, laundry room, basement
If you find it slip it under the tree when no one is looking then say did you guys see these way in the back behind the tree |
| The bench at the foot of our bed that is normally covered in clothing. In the bins with out of season clothing. The linen closet behind old towels nobody uses. |
| Lol, I lost one as well. Not sure where I put it. |
