Sandy Hook is what fully convinced me that politicians care more about their special interests than the lives and safety of the American people. It's the country we live in and we are powerless to change that.

I think of Sandy Hook and the lives that were taken every 12/14. My oldest child is finishing his last year or high school and just got into his #1 choice for university. I can't help but think of the children and families from Sandy Hook who should be experiencing the same excitement that we are right now.

My heart still breaks for the families. I wasn’t a mom yet when it happened, and now have elementary school kids. I cannot even fathom the horror of losing a child that horrifically. I hate so much that this happened in our country and then we did NOTHING. Oh and some nut job said it was all a hoax. Wtf is wrong with America.

There were also no antibiotics, automobiles, power tools, highly refined narcotic drugs, women voters, lawful abortions, effective means of family planning, etc., etc., etc. Depriving decent people of the efficacious means of self defense will not prevent violence by insane psychopaths.
