What is your merit offer from Pitt?

Just curious about the amount of merit aid Pill is willing to offer. DC has been admitted and has a higher than Pitt average GPA and ACT score. DC was offered $5000/year. Is that about average? I thought it might be a little more, but maybe I'm misinformed. Has your senior been offered more than that this year?

I am curious - given rolling admissions, does the timing of your admission affect merit aid? Do they tend to give more if you apply early?

How much higher than average? This was a couple of years ago, but my kid with an ACT score at the 75th percentile and a GPA above that didn’t get any merit aid. Didn’t apply right off though.

I have heard that Pitt's merit is much lower than it was a few years ago. I believe $5K sounds normal.

My DD also got $5k.

In the portal will be a letter stating how much merit aid they will give your DC.

Admitted 10/30 to Dietrich A&S. No word on merit. CollegeVine predicted a little over $10K. Anyone who applied A&S non-stem heard on merit since Halloween? If so, how recently?

My son submitted his application to Pitt on Sept 19 and he STILL has not gotten a response. It says on the portal that they have almost double the amount of applications they had last year, which is almost unfathomable. Double? Is anyone else who applied long ago still waiting to hear?

Fcps ds, applied in early Oct.

4.1W gpa and 1380 Sat.

Accepted to business in early Nov. but no merit.

I know of people in past years that didn’t hear in the fall at all but were admitted later. I think they had borderline applications. Is his application on the cusp?

Due to a crush of applicants they are very stingy with the merit. Same thing happened at Auburn. Will be turning into a rich kids school.

This is true. You can google it. They decided to cut back because they've been so successful with rolling admissions. If a school doesn't have to offer merit to get the student body it wants, then it will stop

DS applied 10/7 for Pitt Computer Science school. Got in 11/8 but no word on merit.
