s/o Having the house to yourself?

The post about the day off to have the house to themselves got me thinking:

How often do you have the house to yourself?

With kids and a spouse, I only have the house to myself 1-2 times a year. Someone is always here.

On my telework day. It is glorious.

When I telework.

About twice a week for 4-6 hours.
I work 12s so work every other weekend. I have 2 days off mid week and DD is at school….. I’m not sure id still be married if I didn’t have this alone time.

OMG I miss my alone time at home. We're both stuck here WFH in a small one-bedroom now for what 3.5 years??? ROUGH. Being home alone is totally GLORIOUS. Only if I send my SO on errands do I get alone time. But it's most often ruined by my neighbors rap music.

I WFH full time, so every day from 7-4. And a couple times a year for a few days if DH visits his family without me.

DH goes into the office 2-3x a week, and I go in generally 1-2x, mostly on the days he's home. So we trade off who gets the house alone lol. But we are still working while at home, not off playing hookie like the other poster lol.

Generally Saturday mornings DH takes the girls to dance class, library and the farmer's market and then I meet them for brunch. So I have every Saturday morning.

I am lucky.

I'm OP of the other thread and I literally never have the house to myself unless I take a secret day off!

Never. Wife works at home, I do not. Two kids and it's my job to drive them to stuff.

My husband takes the kid on a camping trip with other dads and kids in our neighborhood once a year for 3-4 days and it's glorious. Sometimes he'll take them somewhere else, like our friend's lake house when it's just the dads and daughters. Otherwise I enjoy the random days where my husband is out of the house for work and the kids are at school (we both work from home).

BTW, I wrote the above before reading any posts but cracks me up how many posters used the word glorious!
