What color did your kid wear to the SAT?

Anonymous
I find this amazing. SAT Tutors and Prep Sites that crunch data advice on getting high scores are telling students what color clothes to wear to SATs.

It appears people wearing red get highest scores stastically.

Blue not as good.

At the W school SAT test last Saturday the tons of kids in Red were all on social media afterwards bragging how sorry they felt for the folks wearing blue. They red shirt people all slayed the test.

Is this a new level of crazy?

I've never heard of this. Just SAT or ACT too? My kid took the ACT last spring. and got a 35. I couldn't tell you what color he wore for sure, but it definitely wasn't red because he doesn't own anything red.
He mostly wears blue, black and gray, so one of those colors.

Hahaha! It's probably just a social media joke. If not, it could also be used just to boost confidence.

It is like how Tiger Woods wore red.

Reflects desperation, and a sheep mentality.

If any tutors actually get paid for this advice, that is a test of how stupid the parents are.

This is the most hilarious thing I have ever heard.

Maybe it lowers the scores of takers around you?:

It was also on Reddit last week about wearing red to SAT. But they think it’ll help their own scores.

Pp again - Correction - post was yesterday. Apparently it had to do with one of the reading passages on the test so it was an impromptu joke afterwards presumably. I don’t think it was planned. Is there a cite for tutors giving that advice?

I hate red in clothing but it's always been my son's favorite. I think kids today just like red and black.

Does pink count? Maybe for ACT? My kid wore pink/burgundy plaid pajama pants and a pint favorite tshirt. Got a 35. Must have been that hint of red, huh. Hahahahaha

Whatever color sweats/sweatshirt they wore to bed the night before

That's so funny. I saw this being discussed on Reddit. I didn't know what they were talking about: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sat/comments/1898cfz/comment/kbpb7eu/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Students should wear whatever they feel comfortable and confident in. If they love lime green, go rock it.
