Gift idea for a family member who had done a lot for me

Anonymous
She's in her early thirties and has just been a constant source of support in many ways. I'd like to gift her something to show my appreciation, maybe up to $200.

Any ideas?

Can you have trees planted in her honor in her neighborhood?

Wow, OP - I would love to have you as a relative! Not because we need anything, but because you actually show appreciation for all they have done. (We have done much for a certain family member, but all she does is try to badmouth us - pretty sure people are smart enough to catch on to her crusade.)

Watch or other jewelry
Luxury sheets
Le Cruset piece

Massage gift certificate?
Bracelet or necklace you know she would like?

Are you able to tell us more about what her interests are?

Massage and/or mani/pedi - some sort of pampering

How is this a gift? Ridiculous.

I am a 30-something single woman who is often jumping in to help extended family (like recently using PTO to go care for my nephew while SIL had surgery and brother was deployed) and I would love this as a gift. I am not even that wealthy but I have enough “stuff” and this would make me smile every time I saw the tree.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I do think she'd love jewelry or a massage gift certificate. The trick with the gift certificate is that she has her favorite places she goes, so I'd have to get some info to get them for the right place. I could also do the le creuset, but she was recently married and bought a home, so I'd have to make sure she doesn't already have the select item. It's a good suggestion though because she enjoys cooking.

The question is what does she like. I wouldn't like most of those things but I'd love something like a gift card to TJ Max/Home Goods/Marshalls.

A Gift card to a place she frequently shops at or a necklace with an angel pendent along with a gift receipt to return or exchange.

How would that even work? There are already free tree programs and in less she wants it in her yard, where would you put it.

Lots of options - gift card to favorite store, restaurant, if they travel - for plane tickets, etc.

Since she’s a recent newlywed homeowner and likes to cook, how about a GC to Williams-Sonoma or Crate & Barrel?

I don’t have ideas for a specific gift, but I think it might be nice if you accompanied whatever gift you select with a letter talking about some of the things (both big and little) that she’s done over the years and how much they meant to you.

I'd love a gift card for a massage or a facial. Also, a Sephora gift card would be nice as well.
