$8500 quote for Braces?

Please recommend your kid's orthodontist if you are paying less than $8500 for braces. We live near downtown Silver Spring. Thank you!

We're paying about $6k. $8500 seems high, unless your kid has complicated teeth?

Go to Jean Hong on Randolph Rd at the intersection with New Hampshire. It used to be Erickson and Hong - I LOVED Erickson - but he retired. I am a dentist and they were the most straightforward and reasonable with my kids treatment plans. My son is about to finish and we paid about 5k.

We will have paid at least that but for palate expander, retainer and then braces (which are @5500 alone).

I started out at $4k in Falls Ch, but moved to an Arlington ortho and it came out to $5K. $8K is wayyyyy too much!

All the quotes I got a few years ago in potomac or NWDC were like $10,000. I have three kids. We went to a recommended orthodontist in Pikesville and paid just over $10,000 for all three sets of braces.
