HR is not on your side, people!

Anonymous
Hear it loud and clear. Sitting through an HR led session on managing uncertainty or some shit like that. Several people are complaining about not being heard by management and HR as usual, is deflecting, instead of addressing them directly. It’s just your vent session, people. HR is not here to help you.

HR's job is to back up management no matter what.

Of course HR isn't there to help you. They are paid by management to resolve issues and move people out. Just Google it:

"Why HR is not on your side?
HR is paid by the company to solve problems either between employees or with the company and its policies, says Williams. “If you have a problem with another employee, especially your manager, and you decide to involve HR, you're not enlisting someone on your side. Instead, you're involving the company in the issue."

You are just a resource to the company, like a laptop or desk. That is all.

I'm old enough to remember when it was called "Personnel". Then they changed it to "Human Resource" because it's less personal.

And as someone formerly in management, a lot of times they are not helpful to management either.

It is inappropriate for employees to use a company webinar about resiliency (or whatever the buzzword of the day is) as an opportunity to kvetch about their manager in front of the organization.

Well, we know you’re not lying! Cringe sense of humor, poor reading comprehension and unable to write even a single intelligible sentence. Yeah, that tracks.

Well hello, Captain Obvious!

I thought everyone knew this.
Hint: who pays HR’s salary?
