8 and 2 from Westfield are both very strong players. They should get a bunch of points this year.

What's valid is the programs who lack a "next teammate up culture" are less resilient. Indy lost 2 significant contributors in the offseason and won't miss a beat.

You think West Po wins states if one of their best guys goes down??? As a matter of fact, if any team in ANY sport loses their best player, they get worse. Don’t know how that is hard to understand. Yes, Injury to a top player can and does have an impact, no doubt.
BUT, if you rely on one player that much, you don't have much of a "team".

Nobody is saying that teams should rely too much on one player. You’re arguing with a wall there. The argument is that injuries ARE a reasonable excuse for a drop off in performance, because that seems rather obvious.

Yes, losing a player will drops a teams performance, my point #1 above..... No not "MASSIVE" (capitalized)
If that "MASSIVE" is the case- relying too much on one player, does not make for a "team".

from what I've heard 9 from Robinson is out but not for the whole season. I saw him in off season events. he's a scoring machine. finishes better than their lefty last year.

This entire pre season Langley has received hype they do not deserve. Not sure why you guys have them over Madison, a well coached program with a strong group of kids. After langley losing #8 their offense is not much. The game might be close with that good fogo they got but at the end of the day I can see them losing to a Madison that runs a good system. We see this every single year. Sure, they won the region last year but they are nothing more than spoiled kids with no grit. Programs like Robinson and Madison are built on grit, while langley kids get everything handed to them on a golden platter. The skill for Langley is there, but they lack all type of drive or determination to go get things done.

The Independence growth and success has been being worked on for years and carefully curated by coaches who have dedicated countless hours on developing talent and a love for the game for over a decade.

Starting in the youth ranks these coaches brought together a group of families that have stuck through things in thick and thin and the results speak for themselves.

The main objective was for the boys to have fun and develop a passion. High school success and college recruiting was secondary but as a result these guys are really talented, being recruited and committed and these families will be life long friends as a result.

No other program in the area has taken this much time and dedication and it shows on the field. I think they'll be around for awhile and rest of area could learn a thing or two about multi year commitments to development. This is why Long Island/New England and Baltimore are "better"

Ahhh - how about Riverside? 5 straight state champs. How is that not as dedicated?
