The officer was able to shoot and kill the suspect while being shot themselves. Just your average Wednesday afternoon in downtown DC?

| Good guys won this one. |
Yeah, but that area was worse 20 years ago. |
And all it took was the officer getting shot multiple times. Not sure how many more of these victories can be sustained. |
|
Why would anyone work as police officer in DC?
|
| Sick. No one wants to hang out in DC anymore. This was in the middle of the afternoon. |
I guess it depends if you have professional standards or not. A lot of MPD officers seemingly spend their day sitting in squad cars doing very little. |
Unfortunately, they probably have to remain in their police car so it doesn't get stolen or vandalized. |
Not sure park police always do. |
|
Ugh. Can congress please take over for DC with a criminal control board? We are too woke to doing anything meaningful.
I hate people like Gerrt Wilders and deplore this massive rightward shift globally, but I get it. I get wanting to just crack down on the bullsht weak liberal response to crime and social issues. |
b Considering i passed by the area yesterday at the time it occurred (wondered why the police presence) and it was absolutely jam packed with people…seems like someone wants to hang out. |
You don’t seem to know the area well. That block has two large apartments for indigent seniors that attracts a lot of street activity. |
The area is not just the actual block where the shooting occurred…the PP said nobody wants to hang out in DC and the general area was packed with lots of young, able-bodied professionals that were far from indigent. |
I don’t understand how an apartment building for low income disabled elderly residents is a magnet for crime. Street walkers hang out at that block too. Make it make sense. |
Congress? You must be joking. They strip our gun laws, carry guns on the floor of the house, and cant even get their own crap together. |
