Is it awful that my musically formative years were in the late 70s to mid 80s, my mom had their albums, I probably rolled my eyes hundreds of times when their hazy music videos aired on MTV and VH1…and I still couldn’t tell you which one is which?

When they played at Merriweather together a few years back, their divide and hall’s disdain for Oates was noticeably.

I remember they were interviewed by someone as one of the artists who hated when music videos came out and they had to suddenly be actors instead of being musicians. Followed by clips of Oates being just terrible at whatever he thought was acting.

This was entirely different and totally intriguing when I read “Darryl Hannah” instead of Darryl Hall.
