Looking for suggestions for liberal arts colleges that have a creative vibe like Vassar or maybe Bard without the competitive admissions. Basically liberal arts schools with strong investments in their art programs, and maybe less focus for their students on Greek life or sports. I know the standards: Carleton, Grinnell, Reed, Bennington, Oberlin-- but I'm the trying to figure out what the equivalent is that has a higher admissions rank. On the fence about going as crunchy as Hampshire or Antioch.
Juanita? Ursinus? St Marys? Beloit? Bennington? |
| Sorry, I said rank, I meant "rate." Like 70% acceptance and above |

That's one I was wondering about. Any specifics about the programs? |
| Emerson is not that high acceptance rate- but might be a fit. |
It's 45%, but they have need aware admissions. Who know what portion of the rejections that accounts for |
| VCU? |
| There are some SUNY schools - depending on the type of art - SUNY Purchase might be a fit |
| Don’t know the acceptance rate, but know a couple “artsy” kids doing well at Wooster. |
| Kalamazoo College? |
| Shenandoah |

Over 70% acceptance rate:
Earlham College Goucher College Kalamazoo College Knox College Lawrence University |

Bard ain't competitive at all. 60% acceptance rate. Shit even Bennington is more selective than that. |
